How Does God Use the Bad Things That Happen in Our Lives?

How does God use the bad things that happen in our lives?

It’s common to see Christians go through difficult circumstances. Somehow they become stronger in their faith. It became a defining moment in their lives and faith. That’s when God becomes personal.  The pivotal circumstances in our lives can be positive or negative. The majority of the time it's negative. God does something that couldn't happen any other way.

But, If God is so good how could he let this happen?

There is an undeniable relationship between our difficult circumstances and our faith. It’s not an accident. God uses them to shape us and make us stronger in the faith.

Look at what James, Jesus' brother wrote about life’s pivotal circumstances. He saw, lived, and experienced Jesus’ pain firsthand,

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.  James 1:2-4 NIV

It's not an accident that you’re facing these overwhelming circumstances. God uses them although you’d never sign up for it. Sometimes these things can turn us away from God. But if we allow Him, He can leverage them to do something amazing in our faith.
